Pet Paintings can be on many surfaces but I like either watercolor paper or canvas.

Portraits of dogs, cats or horses

You have two choices for surfaces when ordering Portraits  Textured fine quality watercolor paper or high gloss or matt canvas.

Or for a softer feel, try a lovely soft fine art water color paper for your dog or cat portrait. Canvas surfaces do not need to be framed behind glass and are not normally matted.

This surface gives a slightly textured surface, quite unlike canvas.  It give the painting a softer feeling and this type of portrait should be matted and framed behind glass because of the pigments and the tendency for spotting to occur.

With an oil painting you can just wipe away a water droplet.  On a watercolor portrait the water will be absorbed right into the paper and will affect the color so framing behind UV glass is a must.

Which ever surface you decide on for your portrait, you have our satisfaction guarantee.
