You probably have some photos in your home of your pet that would make a whimsical portrait. If there are objects or people in the background that you would like taken out, I can do that too.
Often people ask me how to take a portrait of their pet and I tell them to get as close to the pet as possible, so that the entire body fits in your viewfinder and then back up a few inches. Make sure you are eye level with your pet and snap a whole bunch of images. Have someone help you by whistling or making a squeaky sound so that your pet’s face turns a little so get that really cute pose. I always encourage pet owners to take as many digital images as they can as long as your dog or cat will sit still for you.
The best time to take a photo is right after a walk. Your dog will be more inclined to sit still after they are a little tired out.
For dogs that just will not sit still, place a fleece blanket on a table and put your dog on the table. This way he will not be able to go anywhere and usually they will sit down or lay down long enough for you to snap that perfect picture.
